FDCI of India, Ashish Soni launched an exclusive fashion tour at Metaverse

With the Web3 platform Decentraland, users were able to purchase virtual properties using NFTs, allowing them to try and purchase unique wearable NFTs. This marked a significant change from previous physical events that took place in cities like Mumbai, Kolkata, Gurugram and Hyderabad.
Blender’s Pride Glassware Fashion Tour, supported by designer Ashish Soni as Curator-in-Chief and Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI) launched India’s first exclusive fashion tour at Metaverse. The landmark event provided a platform for the latest Indian fashion brands to showcase their collections to the world.
The virtual tour showcases 60 unique designer outfits, including well-known designers like Gauri and Nainika, Satya Paul and JJ Valya, and home-grown labels like Lovebirds, Blender’s Pride said.
In an effort to increase user engagement levels, a treasure hunt was organized, offering participants a chance to win exciting prizes. Web3 influencers like Sharkshe and Rakazone, who have huge followings, live-stream their experiences, giving their viewers a glimpse of the fashion tour park.
The virtual event was inclusive, as gender-neutral, plus-size and specifically able-bodied models were chosen for virtual models, adding another layer of realism to the overall experience. The move aims to reflect the fashion industry’s commitment to promoting inclusion and diversity.
