French brand Louis Vuitton has hired Pharrell Williams for menswear
Pharrell Williams is a visionary whose creative universes span music, art and fashion – establishing himself as a cultural, global icon over the past twenty years. The way he explores the boundaries of different worlds is consistent with Louis Vuitton’s status as a cultural house, reinforcing its values of innovation, pioneering spirit and entrepreneurship, the luxury brand said in a media release.
Luxury fashion house Louis Vuitton has announced that Pharrell Williams, a recording artist, producer, songwriter, philanthropist, fashion designer and entrepreneur, will join the brand as its new men’s creative director, effective immediately. He will unveil his first collection for Louis Vuitton this June during Men’s Fashion Week in Paris.
“I am delighted to welcome Pharrell as our new men’s creative director for Louis Vuitton following our collaboration in 2004 and 2008. His creative vision beyond fashion will undoubtedly lead Louis Vuitton into a new and very exciting chapter,” said Pietro Beccari, Chairman and CEO of Louis Vuitton.
Williams, an acclaimed artist, producer and designer, has over 10 billion combined global music streams to date.
