Jaeger-LeCoultre introduces a perpetual calendar in its Polaris series, adding a classical calendar complexity to a refined sports collection. Debut Watches and Wonders 2022 anchors a wide set of debuts that feature the brand’s “Stellar Odyssey” theme for the new release of the year.
Other debuts include a pair of new Atmos models, two impressive Grand Complexes, and two brilliant additions to the Rendez-Vous collection.
You may recall that in 2018 Jaeger-LeCoultre revived the Polaris name, adding to the collection named for the famous 1968 Memovox Polaris Dive series.
With the new Polaris Perpetual Calendar, the Jaeger-LeCoultre Caliber 868AA has been introduced, a new version of its existing perpetual calendar movement (first seen in 2013), upgraded here to create a retro display of the Moon’s phases in the Southern Hemisphere. The update increases the caliber power reserve to a full seventy hours. Low power lapses make any calendar clock more practical.

To point to the origin of the calendar in astronomical events, Jaeger-LeCoultre sets the moon’s phases here at 6 o’clock, creating a retro display for the Southern Hemisphere and a display for its northern counterpart. The new skeletal arms allow greater visibility of dial displays ব and retain Polaris design codes.
Here is all the Polaris code, a glass-box crystal, a mixture of brushed and polished surfaces and a top crown that rotates the inner bezel. The bottom crown is adjusted by a single pusher to schedule and rotate the clock when calendar settings.
