Rolex has revealed the new Le Mans Daytona

Rolex is celebrating the 100th anniversary of the 24 Hours of Le Mans race with an original version of its chronograph.

This 2023 Daytona Le Mans Anniversary Edition has been launched by Rolex in time for the Le Mans race – which is taking place right now (11th and 12th June, 2023) – to pay tribute.

2023 Rolex Daytona Le Mans Anniversary Edition Ref. The 126529LN is available in 18K white gold, with a few key features that set it apart from other new Daytonas, which Rolex launched earlier this year. First, the Paul Newman-style counter, with a square printed at the end of the hash symbol. Second, the number “100” which is highlighted in red on the black ceramic tachymeter bezel, indicates the 100th anniversary of the race. Finally, a new movement, Caliber 4132, which allows the chronograph counter to run a full 24 hours — thanks to a new differential — just like a race.

“To commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Le Mans race, Rolex again releases a new model Daytona Take my money now! said Paul Altieri, founder and CEO of the leading online retailer of pre-owned luxury Rolex watches.

Although it is not officially listed as a limited edition, like the Rolex Submariner Kermit 70th Anniversary, it unofficially marks an anniversary and will be produced in smaller quantities than the original model.

“What a sensational release and what is expected to be a permanent addition to the Crowns lineup… but good luck getting your wrist on one of them,” Altieri said.
