TAG Heuer has added a 42mm size model to its integrated watch collection and improved the technology and feature set of its existing 45mm models. The new size responds to a request for a slimmer, more compact version of its smartwatch, which the watchmaker debuted in 2015.
New TAG Heuer Connected, featured in new 42mm size.
The new 42mm model offers not only a slimmer case but also a clean dresser profile with its ergonomic steel pusher, a slim bezel under the sapphire crystal and a fully integrated bracelet.
With its ceramic bezel, the upgraded 45mm model is still quite sporty and offers a large crown for easy access to all adjustments. In addition TAG Heuer has added a little pressure on the pushers to mimic the feeling of the pushers in a mechanical watch.
For both connected clock sizes, TAG Heuer now has a new animated display called Riverside that reflects a future effect of time lapse. A new wellness face provides information on the wearer’s exercise method directly on the home screen. This data may include, for example, a heart rate and the wearer’s daily actions.

Among the new health applications, TAG Heuer highlights a completely new guided workout regimen, which includes programmed exercises with pre-set lengths. When users finish their exercise, the clock vibrates to indicate that it is time to move on to the next one. TAG Heuer is offering a new sports app with newer 45mm models and 42mm models as well as previous generations of connected watches.
Throughout TAG’s collection, Heuer also adds new digital features, including the latest sports news, weather, fitness, and calendar data delivery. Explore a wide range of new watch faces, including reinterpretations of existing connected designs.
Other upgrades to this new-generation Connected Watch include: a 30 percent longer battery life (in the new 45mm model), faster data sync with Bluetooth 5.0, and an altimeter that includes a clock accelerometer, heart rate monitor, compass and GPS.
TAG Heuer runs its new generation Connected Watch on Wear OS by Google. At launch, the watch will run on Wear OS 2 Once the update is available, users will have the option to upgrade to Wear OS 3 at no extra cost.
And finally, TAG Heuer has developed a new charger that doubles as a watch display stand. It becomes a nightstand that will display time.
